You’ll also be provided with warm blankets, headlamps, and chairs to ensure you’re comfortable and cozy as you settle in to watch the first light break over the lake.
Once everyone is ready, your guide will lead the way to the best lakeshore vantage points, offering insights into the ideal spots for photography—or simply allowing you to take in the stunning surroundings. Wrapped in your blanket, with the crisp morning air around you, you’ll feel the magic of the moment as the sunrise unfolds before your eyes.
You’ll have approximately five hours total at Lake Louise to wander, unwind, or capture the beauty around you at your own pace. Your guide will highlight best photo spots, and trailheads, helping you make the most of your time. They’ll be happy to answer questions and assist with photos, ensuring you capture the perfect shot of this iconic landscape.

Because the tea house opens at 8:00 AM and tour start times vary throughout the season, guests hiking early in the season may not have time to linger at the tea house. You’ll need to plan carefully to ensure you return to the van on schedule. Not to worry—the tea house is not the main highlight of this hike; the true reward is Lake Agnes itself and the stunning alpine scenery along the way.
Please note: if you choose to hike, the guide will not accompany you—your free time is yours to explore independently.
